An investment firm based in Manhattan sought to create a personalized due diligence data room tool for their prospective clients. They required a tool that would enable their clients to securely view deal documents through a web browser while also protecting these documents from unauthorized copying or downloading. Additionally, the tool was expected to generate a comprehensive analysis report of the clients’ access to both the deals and the documents.
Solution
Our team assisted in the construction of the tool utilizing a microservices architecture, which separated the tool’s functions into individual components such as document uploading, processing for browser viewing, email handling, and user activity tracking. Third-party software was integrated into the tool to securely process deal documents and enable their viewing in web browsers. The tool was split into two separate portals: one for the firm’s agents to upload deals and documents and the other for prospective clients to view them.
